PM HyRail - Multi-stack System
Hydrogen as an environmentally friendly energy source is also an asset for the railways - and not just for passenger transport or locomotives. Exhaust- and noise-free CleanTech innovations are also required for rail maintenance and service vehicles for milling in order to respond to the increasingly strict official regulations regarding environmental factors such as exhaust gases and noise pollution. In the context of the world`s first special railway construction machine with a purely electric drive, Proton Motor developed the HyRail multi-stack system in 2021.
The clean, “green” and emission-free HyRail hydrogen fuel cell product is optionally equipped with one or more HyStack 400 stack modules as a drive solution. Compared to conventional diesel engines, the zero-emission HyRail concept represents a sustainable improvement from an ecological point of view in favor of the desired CO2 neutrality.
