BRS - Model BMUX15/4 -Multiplexer
The BMUX-15/4 is a switch (multiplexer) with four-wire technology, with which up to 15 stacked battery cells can be switched one after the other to an impedance measuring device (BIM2). This makes it possible to carry out impedance and voltage measurements on several cells without having to reconnect them.
The switching is done via 16 double contacts (force and sense each), which form a channel in pairs. A cell is selected via 2 neighboring channels.
The BMUX-15/4 has 2 communication interfaces (USB and RS-232) that can be used alternatively; if both interfaces are connected at the same time, the USB interface has priority.
With USB, power is supplied via the interface itself, with RS232 an external power supply must be provided.
Remote control is carried out via a simple proprietary protocol or via a graphical user interface for Windows PC.
