NETIOModel PowerDIN 4PZ -Dual 110-230V / Max 16A Electricity Meter

SHARE

PowerDIN 4PZ is a dual 110-230V / Max 16A electricity meter with LAN/WiFi and I/O, designed to fit on a DIN rail. Enables control over the Web, NETIO Cloud, Open API. Each of the 4 outputs can be switched on or off independently using the Web interface, or with Open API and NETIO Cloud. States of two dry contact digital inputs (including S0 pulse counts) can be also read remotely. Integration with third-party systems using various protocols (JSON, Modbus/TCP, SNMP, MQTT-flex, Telnet, ...) is easy thanks to the Open API.

NETIO PowerDIN 4PZ is a 2-channel 110-230V/ Max 16A electricity meter with relays at outputs and LAN (Ethernet) or WiFi connectivity.

  •  The two metered 110/230VAC outputs can be switched off thanks to a built-in relay.
  •  Two other outputs feature NO/NC relay contacts.
  •  Two digital inputs can be used to connect push-buttons or S0 meters.

Using the product’s web interface, the device can be configured, the measured values can be read and each of the 4 outputs can be switched on or off.

Open API enables integration with third-party systems using a wide range of protocols (JSON, Modbus/TCP, SNMP, MQTT, Telnet, ..).

  •  LAN or WiFi connection, NFC configuration
  •  WEB interface
  •  Channels 1, 2: metering + relay
  •  Channels 3, 4: relay contacts
  •  OPEN API: MQTT-flex, Modbus/TCP, Telnet, JSON, XML, SNMP, ..
  •  ZCS – Zero-current switching
  •  Mobile app: NETIO Mobile2 (Android & iOS)
  •  Service: NETIO Cloud

NETIO Cloud is a SSL-secured service that allows controlling the outputs from anywhere (using a Web browser or Open API cloud services).  >> More about NETIO Cloud

The NETIO Mobile 2 app controls each output individually over LAN (local network) or NETIO Cloud. >> Více o NETIO Mobile

Open API allows controlling the device over the network using various protocols (http XML/JSON, Modbus/TCP, MQTT, SNMP, Telnet and more...).

AV drivers make it easy to connect NETIO sockets to professional Audio/Video systems such as NEETS, ELAN, CRESTRON, Control4 and more.

Third-party partners provide various SW solutions that can be integrated with NETIO products (Nagios, PRTG, Grafana, Prometheus, Node-Red and more.

  • The PowerDIN 4PZ LAN/WiFi electricity meter is typically used for electricity metering and distribution in a DIN electrical cabinet.
  • Remote energy consumption monitoring in one or two circuit branches.
  • Connecting the pulse output of a 3-phase electricity meter to In1 or In2 in order to measure electricity consumption above 16A.
  • Each output can be switched on/off or power-cycled (e.g. to restart all appliances connected to the same circuit branch) from the web interface or the NETIO Cloud service.
  • Controlling the charging of e-bikes, boats and other appliances up to 3.6 kW (230V/16A).
  • Controlling the outputs using Open API (JSON, Modbus/TCP, SNMP, MQTT-flex, Telnet, ...)
  • Integration with various third-party programs and applications.
  • Controlling the device from the NETIO Mobile 2 app as long as the app is connected to the same network.
  • The NETIO Cloud service, provided for a fee, enables central control of outputs of multiple devices in various locations.
  • Power Outputs 1 & 2 are two independently-metered 230V channels. Each power output can be switched on and off with a built-in ZCS relay.
  • DO (Digital Outputs) 3 & 4 are relay outputs. General-purpose NO/NC relay contacts can be controlled remotely. These two outputs do not support ZCS, and are not connected to the supply voltage.
  • DI (Digital Inputs) In1 & In2 can be used to connect any dry contact. DI input states are shown in the Open API. In addition, each input includes an S0 pulse counter for monitoring a water or electricity meter.

The product can be connected to one network only at a time. When a live RJ45 (Ethernet) connection is detected, the product uses the LAN. When the RJ45 cable is disconnected or the link layer is inactive, the product switches to WiFi.

For the WiFi connection, the product uses an internal antenna. When installed a metal cabinet, its range will be very limited.

The WiFi connection can be configured using the AP mode, or with the NFC interface and the NETIO Mobile 2 app.

  • For WiFi setup without NFC, the product features a built-in WiFi AP as well as a wizard to guide you through the selection of a WiFi network and configuring the connection. The mode switch button is located under the top panel.
  • With the NETIO Mobile2 app and a NFC-capable phone, the product can be connected to a WiFi network in 60 seconds.

The product can be connected to NETIO Cloud. Control 100 outputs from a single web screen. NETIO Cloud is an ideal solution for remote control and restarting. The NETIO Cloud service is a paid service.

  • All devices produced by the NETIO products company can be connected to NETIO Cloud.
  • Thanks to the included “Welcome credit”, the service can be used at no cost for the first 3 years.
  • Devices connected to the service can be controlled securely from anywhere over the Web (HTTPs).
  • NETIO Cloud can be used in parallel with another Open API protocol.
  • Communication with the Cloud service is secured (port 8883 - MQTTs - TLS)
  • NETIO Cloud uses a separate Open API (MQTTS protocol) to control all devices linked to a given user account.

NETIO PowerDIN 4PZ can switch the metered outputs 1 and 2 when the immediate current crosses the zero level. ZCS significantly extends the lifetime of relay contacts when switching “problematic” appliances, such as LED lights or electric motors.

  • ZCS (Zero Current Switching) means that the relays switch the outputs (1 and 2) at the moment when the current crosses the zero level.
  • In the long run, ZCS support reduces the product failure rate due to internal relay damage.
  • ZCS reduces the negative effects of a high inrush current.
  • Thanks to ZCS, the device can control switching power supplies (servers, computers and other IT equipment) up to the maximum rated power.
  • ZCS extends the lifetime of connected equipment; especially in case of frequent on/off switching of devices that are not designed for that (such as switching power supplies).
