Sarel - Model IM6 12÷36 kV -On-Load Switches for Medium Voltage Applications
The IM6 Series of on-load switches from Sarel Srl are designed for medium voltage applications, operating within the 12 to 36 kV range. These switches feature an epoxy cast resin housing, filled with pressurized SF6 gas at 150 kPa to ensure a sealed operative life. The switch's mechanism involves movable contacts on an insulated rotary shaft within the robust cast resin body. Fixed contacts are directly mounted onto the housing, and the rotary motion is controlled by a front-operating mechanism. The switch delivers reliable performance with three available positions: close, open, and earthed, supported by a robust locking system that minimizes operational errors. With notable characteristics such as extended service life, maintenance-free active components, and enhanced safety during operation, this series is suitable for applications requiring rated voltages from 12 to 36 kV, and short-circuit currents up to 25 kA. The IM6 Series accommodates rated frequencies of 50-60 Hz, with a peak current capability of up to 62.5 kA.
