When you choose an Outotec sewage sludge incineration solution, you get an industry-leading thermal treatment system that leverages our long history in bubbling and circulating fluidized bed technology.
Typically, a state-of-the-art fluidized bed sewage sludge incineration plant operates as a self-sustained process without external fuel. The plant can produce a surplus of electrical power or heat and complies with all emission standards (EN 2000/76).
Key process steps include:
- Receiving and storage
- Partial pre-drying
- Thermal treatment
- Boiler and turbine system
- De-dusting
- Scrubber and condensing system
- Mercury filter
- ASH DEC phosphate recycling system
We offer two different plant solutions depending on the required capacity:
- The Outotec Sewage Sludge Incineration Plant 100 can produce a surplus of electrical power or heat that can be used, for example, in industrial or district heating. It complies with the strictest global emission standards and is designed for treating sewage sludge from cities or communities of around one million inhabitants. The capacity can be adjusted according to the needs of your project.
- The Outotec Sewage Sludge Incineration Plant 30 and 50 solutions are suitable for thermal treatment of sewage sludge from medium-size cities or communities (from 300,000 to 500,000 inhabitants).
