Caelux provides the simplest path for module companies to leverage advanced perovskite technology to boost their product’s performance.

Caelux uses a four-terminal, passively connected architecture where the silicon and perovksite active glass are connected in parallel. While this is referred to as a four-terminal architecture, the connection is made inside the module or the junction box; there are only two leds coming from the junction box.

For module manufacturers to use Caelux’s products, there are few process changes needed in module assembly and is compatible with nearly all crystalline silicon solar cells today.

Four-terminal offers an elegant solution over two-terminal approaches, eliminating the need for specialty silicon, and reducing costs while at the same time delivering a module that is more powerful and cost effective.

You might have heard that perovskite solar cells aren’t reliable or that they degrade rapidly. Perovskite durability used to be measured in terms of ‘seconds’ and ‘minutes’ but today they are measured in terms of years and improving.

As with every other kind of technology, perovskite solar cells are continually being improved. You could even say that’s kind of our thing. Caelux has partnered with leading institutions and laboratories to evaluate our materials and unlock ways to push them even further. We also maintain ongoing relationships with our customers to ensure our products meet their exacting standards for quality and reliability. Through our rigorous evaluation program, we’ve collected thousands of hours of operating data in real world environments. With the launch of Caelux® One, our products will be able to support our customer’s warranty requirements.
