Usage

Plasticizers improve the flexibility, low-temperature resistance, and processability of PVC products. They are raw materials to produce wire compounds, wallpaper, flooring, PVC film, automotive sealant (sealer), synthetic leather, etc.

Production Process

Plasticizers are categorized as phthalate-based, trimellitate-based, phosphoric acid-based and epoxy-based depending on the base material it is made from. It is produced by the ester reaction between alcohol such as Octanol(2-EH), INA, etc., and acids such as PA, TPA, TMA, etc. Depending on the base material, different grades of plasticizers are produced.
