SCHUKO - Plug

With the invention of the SCHUKO plug, our company founder Albert Büttner set a new standard for electrical connecting devices in 1925. SCHUKO is short for the German `Schutzkontakt` (protected contact). Because of its circular geometry and two protected contacts, SCHUKO is regarded as especially safe to use in comparison with other electrical connecting device systems. The success story of Albert Büttner`s invention speaks for itself. Today, SCHUKO is the globally most widely used standard for electrical connecting devices. We have since continued to developed the classic ABL rubber plug further. With innovative technological features and new materials, such as the high performance plastic Elamid, our Hightech and Professional series are the embodiment of contemporary SCHUKO electrical connecting devices.
