Silicone or PTFE based lubricants are a poor choice when installing mechanical seals. During seal instal the sealing faces, difficult to removi lation, lubricants can come in contact with Silicone or pTFE based products are very i from these faces. When the pump from the primary ring face, causing failure. is started, these products draw the carbon ring, transfers the material onto the mating a build up which leads to premature seal.
U.S. SEALUBE is a waler based formula specifically designed lo lubricate rubber, allowing for fast and easy seal installations.
It provides a high degree of lubricity to all rubber components but unlike PTFE or silicone based lubricants, U.S. SEALUBE evaporates, allowing the elastomer to grip the shaft or bore.
Elastomers are left dry to the touch. The lubricity is gone and will not return even in the presence of moisture.
Your seal is now locked in place.
