Rockpecker - Geothermal Bits
The global geothermal drill bits market is segmented into tricone bits, polycrystalline diamond compacts (PDC) bits, and other bits such as drag bits. Geothermal drilling bits are used in dry steam power plants, flash steam power plants, and binary cycle power plants. Major types of bits used in geothermal drilling include tricone bits, polycrystalline diamond compacts (PDC) bits, and others (drag bits, etc.). PDC bits and tritone bits are mostly preferred for drilling geothermal wells and also for drilling onshore and offshore. Most popular related searches

Rockpecker bits on-site at Cenergist, Leeds. It was a project of converting social housing flats to Geothermal and our customer had 3years of work ahead of them on this contract alone. Geology is mudstone and sandstone bands. Both rigs are using our Rockpecker 6 Blade 130mm PDCs, which have won over the competitor bits on this job. The bit shown in the image has completed 21 X 165 -185m holes and is still going strong. Slight chip on one of the crown cutters but the rest look uniform and the gauge is holding strong
