SBS Solar - Model SOLAXIS - Single-Axis Solar Tracker Systems
The SOLAXIS technology by SBS Solar represents a significant advancement in solar tracking systems. Designed for ground-mounted applications, the SOLAXIS single-axis solar tracker enhances energy production by up to 28% in Southern Italy and promotes lower energy peaks compared to conventional fixed systems, particularly when using two-sided panel technology. The system is engineered with a robust load-bearing structure and sophisticated tracking management software, developed by SBS Solar. This technology employs complex algorithms to optimize plant output, equipped with a backtracking system to minimize shadowing and the capability to withstand extreme weather elements like strong winds and heavy snow. SBS Solar offers two configuration options: SOLAXIS UNO, with a single row of panels in Portrait orientation, and SOLAXIS DUO, with two rows in Portrait, with Landscape orientation available upon request. In addition to general applications, SOLAXIS is tailored for agrivoltaics and landfill installations, offering non-invasive installation and advanced control features aligned with Italian legislative standards.
SBS Solar has developed its own single-axis solar tracker called SOLAXIS. Compared to conventional fixed systems and using two-sided panel technology, SOLAXIS produces on average 23% more in Northern Italy, and even more – up to 28% – in Southern Italy, at the same time generating lower energy peaks.
This technology is based on complex algorithms and is able to take into consideration a variety of factors to optimise the plant output (for example, by reducing shadows between module rows using a backtracking system) and automatically adapts to extreme weather conditions such as strong winds and heavy snow.
SBS Solar offers two versions: SOLAXIS UNO, featuring a single row of panels arranged in Portrait (1P), and SOLAXIS DUO, with two rows of panels arranged in Portrait (2P).
On request the versions can be supplied in Landscape (1L – 2L).
Designed to meet the requirements of Italian Legislative Decree no. 199 of 8/11/2021, to optimise the combination of electricity production and agricultural production.
SBS Solar proposes its SOLAXIS UNO technology both for row crops (e.g. olives, hazelnuts, blueberries, grapes) and field crops.
Designed for installation on the flat tops of decommissioned landfills.
