Enerlux - Model PRM Series - Single Phase Fixed Power-Factor Capacitors
The PRM Series capacitors from Enerlux Power are single-phase fixed power-factor capacitors meticulously engineered with self-healing capability. These capacitors utilize a high gradient metallized polypropylene film housed within a cylindrical casing of extruded aluminum. An M12 x 12 mm fixing spigot connects these capacitors to the ground, enhancing their stability. The aluminum casing is securely sealed using a fiberglass-reinforced nylon strip, classified as V2 based on UL 94 standards, ensuring resistance to air and water ingress. Designed for modular three-phase units, these capacitors are fitted with external discharge resistors, which are affixed to the capacitor strip's faston terminals. This ensures improved safety and reliability during operation. Intended for precision power-factor correction in various applications, these capacitors can seamlessly integrate with three-phase units for stable electrical performance. CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY
The self-healing capacitors of PRM series consist of a single-phase element made of metallized polypropylene film at high gradient in a cylindrical casing of extruded aluminium, with a fixing spigot M12 x 12 mm; the M12 spigot is used to earth the capacitor. The capacitor is closed with the aluminium casing beading on the self-extinguishing fiberglass-reinforced nylon strip (class V2 according to UL 94 standards), ensuring perfect air and water tightness. The Capacitors are equipped with external discharge resistors, permanently to the faston terminals of the capacitor strip.
USES
Especially suited for making modular three-phase units (see Unit type UTF), fixed or stepped power-factor correction equipment with automatic cosφ regulator.
