Hamworthy - Model Dorchester DR-TC -Solar Water Heater
The well-proven Hamworthy Dorchester range of direct-fired water heaters has further evolved to include the latest Dorchester DR-TC range of combined solar and gas –powered water heaters for duty Domestic Hot Water (DHW) production. The Dorchester DR-TC is based around the Dorchester DR-FC Evo concept, with an efficient down-firing condensing burner and coiled heat exchanger but with the addition of dedicated solar coil for use with a solar circuit. Dorchester DR-TC water heaters are ideal where the potable DHW system needs to be separate from the boiler heating load, and/or where there is insufficient space for a separate boiler and calorifier.
The Dorchester DR-TC can be used with Trigon solar collectors to provide a compact yet efficient system, with all the necessary controls supplied to prioritise the use of solar energy:
- Integral solar control system to prioritise the use of solar energy where possible
- Space saving in the plant room with no need for additional heat input
- Operates independently from heating circuit giving financial savings from running space heating and hot water systems separately (summer load)
