Solatom - Model FLT20 -Solar Boiler Modules
The FLT20 solar boiler modules utilize Fresnel concentrator technology designed to maximize thermal efficiency. These modules operate effectively under specific reference conditions: a direct normal irradiance (DNI) of 900 W/m2, with input and output temperatures of 150 ºC and 180 ºC respectively, and an ambient temperature of 30 ºC. The optimal performance of these modules is ensured by calculating the incidence angle modifiers (IAM) longitudinally and transversally using ray tracing tools. The optical efficiency of the modules is approximately 63.2%, which can be modulated further by the IAM values. Each module is pre-assembled in the factory located in Castellón, Spain, ensuring streamlined logistics and installation. Additionally, the Castellón facility houses a solar steam boiler for practical demonstrations. This modular and scalable technology offers a significant advantage over on-site assembly, enabling efficient and secure transport via truck or standard maritime containers.
- Alternative fluids: Water, thermal oil, steam and air
- Maximum vapor pressure: Up to 30 bar
- Locations: Land and rooftop
Pre-assembled solar modules
FLT20 modules are transported from the factory fully pre-assembled. Land transport is carried out by truck, while maritime transport is carried out in standard shipping containers.
Advantages over on-site assembly
- Improvement in the optical quality of the system (factory control)
- Minimum interference with the client during construction
- Minimum time and space required for construction
