Working Principle
Precision excellence derives from experience with the more demanding requirements for parabolic and Fresnel.
The position of the sun is tracked during the day with the same formulas used for parabolic and Fresnel concentrating collectors.
Additionally, backtracking features are included to reduce shading and optimize production.
Sustainability
By tracking the sun’s position during the day, the iTrackerTM can increase the yield of PV solar fields by up to 25%.
This higher production of renewable energy results not only in a better economic return on investment, but also in a greater contribution towards a more sustainable energy carbon footprint.
For example, if we consider a gain of 20% for a 1 MW system with 2000 equivalent hours of operation annually, the net gain due to the iTracker is 400 MWh/year, which corresponds to a CO2 emission reduction like a forest of more than 5’000 trees.

PTM can be used in both new and existing buildings to complement traditional energy sources.The parabolic troughs can be installed, in accordance to the relevant regulations, on flat roofs or on top of parking slot shelters. They can also be organised to create solar fields on ground.Thanks to its special characteristics, PTM functions also in rigid climates, representing an optimal solution for residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
