Meier Energy STATIVOLTStatic Thyristor-Based Voltage Stabilizer-Regulators

SHARE

The STATIVOLT range of static thyristor-based voltage stabilizer-regulators offers a cost-effective solution for maintaining consistent voltage levels to protect sensitive electrical, electronic, and computer equipment from both temporary and permanent voltage fluctuations. Engineered for telecom sites, bank branches, industrial sites, and more, these devices maintain output voltages within tolerance by adjusting the transformation ratio with a microprocessor-controlled booster transformer. Unlike traditional stabilizers, this solution employs static switching with thyristors, offering voltage regulation that is 10 times faster. Equipped with features like an LCD display for monitoring parameters, customizable output voltage settings, and minimal maintenance due to the absence of moving parts, the STATIVOLT system also provides galvanic isolation and extensive protective measures against overvoltage, phase loss, and short circuits. Enhanced communication capabilities via an RS485 port with Modbus protocol allows seamless integration into energy management and SCADA systems.

The voltage stabilizer-regulator is the most cost-effective solution to protect electrical, electronic, and computer equipment against temporary and permanent voltage fluctuations in the network.

It is a device that can maintain a constant output voltage (within tolerance limits) regardless of variations in the input voltage, within predefined limits relative to the nominal voltage.

To maintain a constant output voltage, it switches taps on a booster transformer in response to changes in the system voltage. Therefore, it adjusts the transformation ratio to regulate the output voltage.

To achieve this, it is equipped with a microprocessor control board that continuously monitors and controls the grid voltage, adjusting the output voltage to the correct value, thus protecting sensitive equipment and providing them with a stable and correct power supply.

Compared to standard stabilizers available on the market, our StatiVolt® range offers the following advantages:

  • Static switching by thyristors allowing for voltage sags and surges correction, 10 times faster than dynamic stabilizers (with motorized autotransformer).
  • The use of a Booster transformer allows for very fast voltage correction, while also avoiding power interruptions during voltage regulation phases.
  • The ability to set the output nominal voltage yourself: between 210V and 240V for single-phase stabilizers and between 360 and 440V for three-phase stabilizers, thanks to its voltage regulator function.
  • An LCD display on the front panel allows you to monitor key parameters (phase voltage, load percentage, alarms, etc.).
  • A very limited need for preventive maintenance as our range of stabilizers includes no moving parts.
  • Optionally, galvanic isolation at the input protects your equipment from disturbances originating from the neighboring electrical network.

As a standard feature, the range of static voltage stabilizers corrects voltage sags within the voltage range of -25% to +15%, lasting 100ms or more, with a response time of around 20 milliseconds and a speed of 500 V/sec.

This range of stabilizers can also optionally offer wider voltage ranges, ranging from -60% to +40% lasting 100ms.

The device includes, as standard, protection against temporary or permanent overvoltages, undervoltages, overheating, overloads, phase losses, and short circuits provided by a thermal-magnetic circuit breaker at the input.

As an option, the device includes the following protections and features:

  • An output protection circuit breaker;
  • A Maintenance Bypass Switch;
  • An LC filter for high-frequency parasite filtering between neutral and PE conductor;
  • A surge protector for protection against transient surges, which can be very harmful to electronic equipment;
  • An intelligent differential protection with front-panel display of earth leakage current;
  • An RS485 communication port with Modbus protocol for integration into SCADA, GTC systems, or energy management systems.
  • Power range from 3 kVA single-phase to 3200 kVA three-phase (5720 A)
  • Parallel mounting capability: up to 16 units (to be specified upon ordering)
  • Multiple industrial voltage ranges: 230, 380, 400, 415, 480, 600 V
