HEATROOT™ - CHANNELING HEAT FROM DEEPER FORMATIONS:
HeatRoot™ is a revolutionary downward-oriented fracture within our single well EGS system. Acting as a chimney, it efficiently captures heat from deeper and hotter formations. This technology specifically targets hot dry rock formations and offers the flexibility to circulate various working fluids through the fracture, based on the surrounding rock’s leak-off characteristics.
SCO2 TECHNOLOGIES - ADVANCING EFFICIENCY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS:
Our portfolio includes sCO2 technologies, featuring a patented sCO2 (supercritical) turbine. This turbine significantly reduces the power plant footprint while doubling the electricity output compared to conventional geothermal turbines. Moreover, our sCO2-refrigerant mixtures optimize net power output by minimizing parasitic loads from cooling, leading to improved overall efficiency. Additionally, sCO2 refrigerants offer a promising solution for carbon capture and storage (CCUS) by facilitating carbon injections into the Earth.
HEATCYCLE™ - MAXIMIZING HEAT HARVESTING:
Utilizing the HeatRoot fracture, HeatCycle™ optimizes heat harvesting within each well. The working fluid undergoes alternating cycles of injection and production, while the fracture acts like a balloon, opening as it fills with fluid and closing during fluid flowback. This innovative approach enhances energy extraction efficiency and maximizes heat utilization.
HEATFLOOD™ - ENHANCED HYDROTHERMAL WELL DESIGN:
HeatFlood™ is a hydrothermal-type well design specifically developed for formations capable of flowing hot produced water at high rates.
