Thoni TTV - High Solids Anaerobic Digestion (cHSAD) System
The heart of the TTV Thoeni High Solids Anaerobic Digestion (cHSAD) system is the TTV Thoeni Plug Flow Digester. A slowly rotating paddle agitator ensures optimal mixing of the digestate, resulting high biogas yields. Hot water flows through heating elements, warming the substrate. A piston pump transports the digestate from the TTV Thoeni Digester through a piping system to the next processing stage. A partial flow of the digestate imakes its way back to the TTV Thoeni Plug Flow Digester, where it serves as inoculation material, introducing a defined quantity of microorganisms to enrich the fresh input material.
The substrate is gently transported from one end of the TTV Plug Flow Digester to the other. The specially designed Thoeni Paddle Agitator prevents sedimentation. In this way, potential sediments are continuously carried to the digester exit, leaving no chance for floating or sinking layers to form. This ensures constant, maintenance-free operation of the digester throughout the year.
