ULMA - Standard Pellet Screw

We supply as standard a screw, about 1.7 meters, but it is of course possible to order longer spiral, since the screw is constructed of parts consisting of screw engine, spiral, T-tube and bolt inlet. The tube is made of PVC and can be cut easily to required length for the spiral. We recommend not to exceed 2 meters since it would cause irregular feeding. This creates air pockets which usually cause the fuel is fed unevenly to the burner and hence the lower combustion rate. At long spiral may also screw engine work harder and have a shorter life. Therefore, we recommend our external feed auger for a better feeding.
