Flexibility with fluctuating steam demand
Our Steam accumulator are designed in such a way that they enable the steam boilers to be operated consistently and efficiently when steam demand varies greatly. In the event of overproduction of steam, the surplus quantity can be safely stored in the steam storage tank.
With a steam accumulator from VKK, the steam boilers integrated in the system can be operated continuously in the optimum output range. This is independent of downstream processes and increases the efficiency of the entire system.
The pressure in the steam accumulator is increased by storing excess steam. If necessary, the required amount of steam can be recovered from the steam accumulator by opening the discharge valve.
Once the steam storage tank has been discharged, it can be refilled the next time there is a surplus of steam, which increases the sustainability and efficiency of the system.
