With innovative technical solutions for gas purification and separation in hydrogen production and purification processes on the one hand, and functionalised materials to optimise the processing steps on the other hand, CTI intends to become a key player in helping to optimise energy production processes.
Our expertise in shaping controlled porosity media and integrating active or functionalised phases in these media (filtration, separation and/or catalysis applications) has led to our involvement in many collaborative R&D projects in this area.
Our products are implemented throughout the hydrogen vector energy production chain, especially in the following steps:
- DeH2S loads: H2S capture (known for its high toxicity and its ability to poison the catalysts) by a specific chemisorption product based on ZnO.
- Hot gas Particulate filtration: ash and/or carbon (coke/graphite) from reforming or pyrolysis/gasification.
- Membrane separation of H2 and CO2, either to supply purified hydrogen to a fuel cell, or to use the syngas for the downstream production of fuel by Fischer Tropsch reaction.
