Community Energy Saving Programme (CESP)
CESP is a new obligation on energy suppliers and generators, which aims to improve energy efficiency standards and permanently reduce fuel bills for households in approximately 100 areas, defined as being the most fuel poor in the Nation (lowest 10% based on the Index of Multiple Deprivation).
There are 4,500 areas across the United Kingdom that are eligible to apply for funding and each will need to demonstrate the ability to deliver on a whole-house basis, with a community backed programme of works. There are bonuses to suppliers (and therefore areas) if they can achieve density and multiple-measure targets and consistently deliver Carbon savings through approved measure installation.
Osborne Energy recognises that every programme is individual and therefore requires a tailored delivery, monitoring and reporting solution.
Osborne Energy is working with a number of local authorities, utility companies, social housing providers and community groups to design, fund and manage successful Community Energy Saving Programmes.
