Assessment and Implementation Plan: This can be provided to contractors who may have certifications but are struggling with implementation and execution in the market place or it can be done with contractors/owners upon someone taking any of our courses as we will assess the business, technical and work processes to assist contractor with development of an implementation plan that would continue to expedite their entry into the market.

Network Development: Many contractors have difficulty networking and developing agreements with other contractors needed to execute comprehensive retrofits in the market. BSES can facilitate the development of the contractor network including agreements, pricing, outlining work processes, turnaround times, etc.

Contractor Outreach and Recruitment: BSES can facilitate contractor outreach programs to educate contractors on Home Performance with Energy Star, Home Star, tax incentives, rebates, how to enter the retrofit market, how to be profitable in the retrofit market, etc. This is geared toward specific states and is adjusted for incentive or rebate variations. For many contractors this is their first exposure to the industry providing an overall view of the market including an overview of certifications, diagnostic tools and process.

Contractor Network: Meet with team of contractors to address the general direction and goals of the team and to standardize procedures and processes for different retrofit scenarios or projects. We will assist lead contractor with individual sub-contractor meetings or can meet with contractors in a group setting.

Field Mentoring Support: Field training conducting comprehensive field energy audits. BSES staff will work with contractor’s staff in the field doing audits including collecting home data and performance testing. Upon collection of all data we will work with contractor’s staff to load data into designated software. Field mentoring can be conducted with individual auditors or groups of auditors.

Work Scope and Summary Report Development: Upon completion of audits to develop work scopes and summaries of work to be completed along with energy savings reports that would be provided to the homeowner. Existing or new audit data will be used to complete the process from audit to homeowner sale opportunity. An example presentation of how the report is presented to the homeowner would be demonstrated by BSES and contractor’s staff would also provide demonstrations.
