Internet connections
RAI Amsterdam Event Net Team consists of specialists who are at home in every discipline whether that be cabling, WiFi, telephony or network technology. Naturally, this is combined with experience in an event environment.Cable Internet is provided to any location you desire at the RAI. Bandwidths of 256Kb/s - 75 Mb/s are standard options and are supplied using copper cabling. Fibre optic infrastructure enables even higher bandwidths up to many Gb/s. The RAI WiFi network is accessible from any public area at the RAI. Access takes place using the RAI’s WiFi portal and payment can be effected by credit card on location. Off course you can compensate for the entire WiFi network to ensure your visitors have free access tot the network. Furthermore, almost any form of customisation can be provided such as your own WiFi network with or without its own portal as the case may be. This allows you to brand your event, manage the amount of Internet traffic, but also provide your own network to VIPs, sponsors or your visitors. Alongside the standard WIFI infrastructure, the RAI can also provide the option of connecting large numbers of users to WiFi using specially developed, mobile systems that are then situated at one or more locations at the RAI. Owing to the nature of WiFi, harmonisation is crucial. The RAI’s specialists can help you make the best possible choice.

GSM
Amsterdam has a public infrastructure based on an internally distributed KPN, T-Mobile and Vodafone antenna system that guarantees good coverage. In exceptional cases this indoor network can be supported by the GSM infrastructure outside the RAI. The latter provides 2G and 3G data communication in addition to voice communication. Alongside the public infrastructure, RAI Amsterdam also has its own, private GSM infrastructure that guarantees mobile telephony.

Tailor-made
No event or organisation is the same. Although RAI’s standard product range is quite extensive, tailor-made work may be necessary. This can vary from an event entirely set up by the Event Net Team to one which lays on its own infrastructure (supported by the Event Net Team or not as the case may be). If need be parts of the RAI’s technical infrastructure can be used to this end.

We can also provide hands-on IT staff and systems’ administrators so you do not have to bring your own. This saves money and is more efficient as our staff are familiar with the building and know its IT infrastructure like the back of their hand. Our staff have extensive experience with IT in event situations. They can provide expert advice from initial contact onwards, draw up a favourable quote and supervise the creation of a successful event.
