Coordination and Cooperation

This service is comprised of two key components; first, our team coordinates with PG&E Generation Interconnection Services (GIS) to expedite interconnection and to obtain official Permission to Operate. The second important component of our service is comprised of daily cooperation with private and governmental entities, such as California Solar Initiative (CSI), New Solar Homes Program (NSHP) and a variety of municipal utilities to insure a smooth process, achieving the highest possible rebates as quickly as possible.

A Customer Point of Contact

With years of direct experience, our staff is highly proficient at providing the best service for our customers. We complete all relevant forms and stay on top of timelines, regulations, restrictions and policies in addition to keeping our customers informed and confident about the rebate process. Additionally, as long-term solar industry leaders, our Rebate and Interconnection experts play an active role in providing feedback and direction to policy makers.

We Know The Rebate Qualifications

Sun Light & Power Design Consultants, Engineers, Project Managers, and Installation Crews are well aware that rebate qualifications in California are performance based, and therefore plan and install the most advantageous system according to each customer’s needs and location. However, estimating rebates is not an exact science. There are several factors that can affect solar efficiencies, including: module tilt, azimuth (compass direction), shading and seasonal variations.

We Ensure The CIS Program Integrity

To ensure the integrity of the California Solar Initiative program, CSI representatives physically inspect 1-in-7 installations on a random basis. Sun Light & Power installations have recorded zero failures, and are typically praised for their efficiency and soundness. For new residential construction projects our team is also available to arrange for or to recommend competent third-party Home Energy Raters (HERS) to inspect and verify energy efficiency ratings in conjunction with Title 24 compliance per NSHP guidelines.

We Make Solar Installations Feasible

Our Rebate and Interconnection team helps make solar installations more economically feasible and painless for our customers. They repeatedly receive praise for their service.
