Servicing and Maintenance for Electrical Distribution Systems
High voltage switchgear and other associated equipment require maintenance under BS6626. In addition, the Electricity at Work Act requires records of maintenance to be retained by the customer and by those completing the maintenance. At Finning, we offer servicing and maintenance for electrical distribution systems, including both high voltage (1000v - 11kV) and low voltage systems (1000 volts & below).

Our testing services for electrical equipment and distribution systems include:
- Insulation Resistance (IR) test (Polarisation Index – PI)
- Partial Discharge Scan (PDS)
- Thermo graphic survey (thermal imaging)
- Ductor testing (conductivity test using micro ohm meter from 0.1µὨ to 1Ὠ)
- Primary & secondary injection tests (protection systems, G59 etc)
- Dielectric testing (transformer insulating oil)
- Earth testing (ground)
- UPS maintenance
- Load bank testing
We can also carry out power quality analysis and data logging providing a power profile report. To complement this, we can troubleshoot power quality issues such as poor harmonics.
