

Certified Residential Geothermal Designer Workshop Training Courses
Learn how to properly design a residential system, starting with the benefits and types of ground source heat pumps. The CRD course is worth 2 CEUs. Learn how to properly design a residential system, starting with the benefits and types of ground source heat pumps. Attendees will also learn about the design process, energy loads and requirements, and how to calculate loads; how to select mechanical systems; site, geology and soil conditions; ground heat exchanger design; pumping, interior piping and header design; economics of the design; and calculate a sample problem. Attendees will also take a certification test to become and IGSHPA Certified Residential Geothermal Designer.

Online – Certified Residential Designer (through HeatSpring)

- Fee: $725 for online modules (certification is an additional $350; IGSHPA manuals are an additional $225)

The full tuition fee will be refunded if you cancel your registration at least two (2) weeks prior to the first day of the confirmed workshop. The full fee will be charged if you do not attend and do not cancel the registration at least fourteen (14) days before the workshop. You may designate another individual as your substitute.
Note: All courses are subject to cancellation by IGSHPA. IGSHPA will give all registrants notice in the event of a course cancellation at least 2 weeks prior to the scheduled date. Contact IGSHPA to verify if a course has been cancelled before making any non-refundable travel arrangements. Materials that are purchased when registering are non-refundable but may be used at a future class.
GSHP installers, contractors, dealers, home builders, manufacturers, distributors, architects, heating cooling mechanical engineers, trenching/water well drilling contractors, and anyone who desires a working knowledge of this innovative technology. Representatives from public utilities, private utilities, and rural electric cooperatives can also benefit from training.
Attendees will also take a certification test at the end of the course to become and IGSHPA Certified Residential Geothermal Designer.
