Training the Effective Steam Engineer and Operator
M and M Training Services Limited offer courses for engineers covering all aspects of steam systems up to 20 bar.g. These courses give engineers an understanding from what steam is, through to systems design. Sections of the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR) are discussed to give engineers the knowledge to correctly identify and install the necessary equipment to meet current legislation.
Facilities
The training centre has an air-conditioned lecture room fitted with a practical demonstration area, serviced by a gas fired steam boiler. The demonstration rig shows the operation of steam traps through the benefit of utilising glass working models and pressure reducing valves - with the introduction of fault finding techniques. These courses are “hands-on” and we make them as technical as the delegates require.
Aims
Our aim is to give engineers the basic knowledge that the engineer requires under the PSSR to carry out his duties effectively and safely.
These courses are totally unbiased and are free from the influences of any manufacturer
Our courses are approved by The Society of Operations Engineers for CPD. The Steam Utilisation and Boiler House Operators courses are accredited by the CITB.
On-Site Training
Courses can be prepared to meet individual company requirements, and can be given at a location of your choice.
