Become a 'Rater' today. HERS stands for Home Energy Rating System. HERS is a separate designation recognized across the United States. This intensive training program will provide the prospective HERS Rater with the core skills and blended training platform necessary to become a Certified HERS Rater in keeping with RESNET’s national training and certification guidelines. You will learn how to perform energy ratings and provide homeowners and homebuilders with detailed analyses of energy consumption, with opportunities for energy conservation and cost savings. RESNET and HERS are generally used for New Home construction, whereas BPI is generally used for existing home retrofits. But they overlap on many fronts.

1) Get Trained

You get the full Training Course to prepare you for the RESNET HERS exams. The course is an intensive training program – taught live in a 5 day classroom format including online instruction prior to classroom to help you prepare better for the classroom session.

2) E-Learning

Starts with 16 hours of online learning. From this core training you will develop the foundations necessary for the 5 day classroom training to follow.

3) Get Certified

You get RESNET HERS Certification testing at the end of the course.

This intensive training program will provide the prospective HERS Rater with the core skills and blended training platform necessary to become a Certified HERS Rater in keeping with RESNET’s national training and certification guidelines.
