Delta Venturi Orifice Steam Trap vs TD Trap on 8 bar 200mm Main Line - Video

A comparative ISO standard bucket test comparing energy efficiency of the two steam trap types.

All factors were taken into consideration including temperatures before the traps as well as a visual sight glass before the traps to determine if either of the traps were backing up condensate.

The TD trap could be seen to pass large volumes of steam with the condensate every time it discharched while the Delta venturi Orifice trap was only passing condensate and at times a minute volume of steam.

The Delta VO trap was 18% more efficient than the TD trap.
