Early Years

Solectria Renewables, LLC was established in 2005 by founders Anita and James Worden, as a spinoff of Solectria Corporation, their electric and hybrid vehicle business. The new company focused on the design and manufacture of premium high efficiency PV inverters and accessories for renewable power generation and grew into the leading commercial solar inverter manufacturer in the United States. The company leveraged its product offerings and engineering intelligence to build a strong brand presence among solar energy providers primarily in the northeast before expanding its presence throughout the country. In 2014 Solectria Renewables was acquired by Yaskawa America, Inc. and changed its business name to Yaskawa Solectria Solar (Solectria). The new entity a blended high product quality and exceptional technical and customer support, resulting in a new solar industry powerhouse. Becoming part of Yaskawa was also important to the company’s ability to consistently improve customer relationships and deliver reliable products.

Today

Yaskawa Solectria Solar is proud to say our inverter products are made in the USA. The combination of Solectria Solar’s strong brand presence in the market and Yaskawa’s vast resources and strengths quickly became apparent to customers. Customers now think of us as Yaskawa Solectria Solar. They have embraced the Yaskawa brand and the strength that comes with it. The Yaskawa Solectria Solar product family is quite vast and features the SOLECTRIA® XGI inverters for 1500V commercial and utility-scale systems, a full lineup of string combiners designed for the XGI inverters, 1-2MW factory-integrated Power Racks, and DC-coupled and AC-coupled storage solutions. It also offers string combiners, web-based monitoring, and other inverter accessories for solar PV and Storage systems of all sizes. All our SOLECTRIA® XGI 1500 three-phase utility inverters and our SOLECTRIA® PV Combiners are made at our world-class production facilities in Buffalo Grove, IL and Franklin, WI respectively. American-made with global components they qualify as domestic content for the 10% Bonus Credit, helping our customers save millions of dollars on their solar projects!
