Inclusive Energy was founded through extensive field experience. The founders tried their hands at building a solar distribution business in India, and developed their own biogas digester designs which are in use around the world. However, they found out first hand that operating rural energy businesses without smart metering is next to impossible. Inclusive Energy was born to provide the tools to others that they wished they’d had themselves. The team was, and still is, driven by the fact that they see energy access in the Global South as the biggest opportunity to make impacts against both climate change and poverty.
