Turbine Oil Purification in Hydroelectric Power Stations with CMM-T Unit Video
Turbine Oil Purification Systems is an important process to ensure reliable operation of equipment at hydroelectric power stations. These oils are used in turbine control systems and its elements, such as oil pressure units, gate servos, rotor wheel servos, bearings and thrust bearings.
Contamination of oil with sludge and moisture causes electric erosion of bearings, reduces reliability of control systems and sealing of turbine generator shaft, resulting in wear of resistant pads and bearing halves (resulting in higher costs of repairs and maintenance), degrades performance and reduces the service life of turbine oils.
Analysis of failures, defects and damage of equipment indicates that 20-25% of incidents are caused by problems in the oil supply and by deteriorating quality of turbine oil.
