Avian Flight Concerns Are Legitimate
With the influx of renewable energy resources being utilized across the world, naturalists have been investigating the potential effects such projects may have on wildlife. Some studies, particularly those centering on avian species, are showing that large solar arrays do in fact affect birds and their flight patterns.
Large Panel Fields
It comes down to the placement of large solar panel arrays placed on the ground, that when viewed from above, resemble one large reflector. Traditional ley lines are obscured, and the magnetic paths birds use to navigate during migration are nearly obliterated. However, what has not been researched is whether or not returning avian patterns have altered without much physical affect on the flocks.
Birds’ internal navigation mechanisms run on a rhythm that is tuned to the magnetic flow of the earth. As the seasons shift, so does the connecting ties between animals and the planet. Certain species find themselves utilizing the same migration flyways each year, and with the development of large planar solar arrays, have been shifting to less safe flight patterns.
Avian Migration
Birds maintain the same migration route when flocking year after year based on the magnetic fields of the earth below, as well as tested safe passage between generations. The instinct is biological. Using the magnetic fields below and the suns position above, birds have been found confused when confronted with extreme adjustments to their landscape memory. A building or several is not going to throw off flight patterns to any degree, but a large reflective surface below that also dulls or deletes the ley line activity is definitely something that can cause issues.
Inordinate amounts of avian corpses have been discovered among the panel fields of the larger collection sites, and conversationalists are working to balance renewable energy with a safe for the environment plan to alleviate unintended avian deaths.
