Project - Student Experience International, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

The new Student Experience International Minervahaven (SEM), located on the waterfront in Amsterdam, features more than 1770 square meters of individually tilted solar panels covering the entire building’s envelope - which is the largest energy producing facade installation in the Netherlands. The use of BIPV panels as the facades allows for the roofs to be used for social activities and as biome-supportive green areas.
 
The building contains 596 student rooms, a restaurant, and a parking garage, and is designed by VURB architects. The project is BREEAM certified.
