ADEME - French Environment and Energy Management Agency services

The ADEME contributes to strengthening institutional capacity in energy management and environment protection, in countries applying for European Union membership and in developing countries. It is involved in bilateral cooperation programmes or twinning projects organised by the European Commission.

According to their respective priorities, the European Commission and international funding agencies (multilateral or regional development agencies and banks) may finance pilot projects or programmes on energy management or environment protection.

Thanks to training in energy and environmental issues, local players are able to gain a better understanding of methods and practices. As a result, local skill bases develop and practices improve. The ADEME organises or participates in training programmes at different levels: funding of doctoral studies, training of executives and managers, training of technicians, especially in the renewable energy sector.
