Swiss energy company Alpiq has secured its inaugural battery energy storage system (BESS) project pipeline in Germany, targeting a total capacity of 370 MW through a partnership with local developer SPP Development GmbH & Co KG. This collaboration leverages Alpiq’s operational expertise and financial resources alongside SPP’s regional knowledge and technical skills. The proposed BESS installations will be situated in Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt, with plans to reach ready-to-
