The High Temperature LO-CAL range of flares offers an optimum solution for safe and efficient degassing of old landfill sites or sites with low quality gas. The innovative Lo-Cal high temperature flare is designed to provide greater gas control during the latter phases of a site. Low calorific gas high temperature combustion is necessary on more and more sites due to increased aftercare requirements. Falling gas volumes and lower gas concentration require innovative solutions. AFS gas control systems have been successfully implemented on landfill sites for more than 15 years.

Our mobile (MB) range of open flare stacks provides a good degree of control over the combustion process in an elevated flame burner, whilst remaining highly flexible and portable. They are ideal for temporary or emergency mobile systems on landfill sites, or can be used at sewerage treatment works.

Our landfill gas fuel skids are specifically designed and manufactured for landfill gas pumping applications to ensure long-term reliability in processing landfill gas. We use tried and tested technology to ensure maximum uptime and therefore maximum revenue generation from the landfill gas.

Anaerobic decomposition of organic solid waste in the landfill site produces landfill gas (LFG). LFG mainly consists of methane and carbon dioxide, both of which are odorless. Trace constituents of other volatiles, often malodorous or toxic gases, are also found in LFG. LFG can migrate through soil into structures located on or near landfills. Since methane presents a fire or explosive threat, LFG must be controlled to protect property, public health and safety.
