Biogas Flares

Bilgeri EnvironTec - Biogas Flare

When operating biogas or sewage treatment plants, it may be necessary toburn off excess gas safely(e.g. in the start-up phase, during repairs or in the event of serious consumer damage).

Bilgeri EnvironTec - Biogas/Biomethane Flare

When operating biogas or sewage treatment plants, it is necessary under certain circumstances (e.g. start-up phase, repairs or consumer damage) toburn off excess gas safely. The EnvironTec FAII gas flare series provides the operator with an automatically functioning, safe and low-emission gas flare.

Bilgeri-EnvironTec - High-Temperature Gas Flare

Fully automaticgas flare for thecombustion of biogasand other flammable gases in accordance with TA-Luft 5.4.8.1.3a with automatic exhaust temperature control at 1000°C and dwell time of at least 0.3 sec.

Digester Equipment

Bilgeri EnvironTec - Gas Dome

A gas dome is a component of the digestion tower positioned above the digested sludge, with the purpose of allowing the digested gas to escape in a controlled manner.

Equipment for Anaerobic Digesters

Anaerobic Digester Tanks Sight Glass

Sight gasses are employed for a simple monitoring of processes inside digesters (e.g. scum formation). They can be integrated in a manhole, a gas dome or a gas hood, as well as mounted directly on the digester roof. As additional equipment wipers, sprayers, light fittings, cameras, protective covers and other accessories are available.

Biogas Treatment / Biogas Conditioning

Biological Desulphurization System

Biogas always contains hydrogen sulphide (H2S). Usually, it moves in the range of 1,000 to 6.000ppm, but it can also reach 2% by volume or more. Often this H2S must be removed from the gas, either because of environmental protection reasons or because corrosion danger. The EnvironTec's desulphurization process provides a cost- effective yet highly efficient solution for it. It is a biological process that requires no chemicals and little consumable materials. If a limited amount of air (about 10 -15% air) is added to the gas flow, certain inoculated bacteria (eg Thiobacillus) can break H2S down to elemental sulphur and sulphuric acid. • Fully automated system • High efficiency at low operating costs • Environment – friendly / no disposal costs • Fulfils the quality requirements of VDI directive 3478 • No consumption of chemicals (NaOH, H202, Fe3cl) • Simple operation and maintenance • Container made from PP or FR - Local delivery possible, saving manufacturing and transport costs

Ceramic Cartridge Fine Filters

Fine filters are used for the fine purification of biogas. This allows the separation of fine particles ≥8 µm as well as condensate vapour. EnvironTec fine filters are fitted with filter candles made from Pantel (special fire clay). As the gas flows through the filter candles from the outside to the inside, anomalous matter is separated out on the outer wall. The filter material used is chemically resistant/neutral, has a high filtration performance coupled with a low pressure loss and is easy to clean with pressurised water. Condensate is drained via an optional siphon or condensate separator. If required, fine filters can also be fitted with differential pressure gauging (U-tube or individual pressure gauges). EnvironTec fine filters are entirely made from 1.4571 stainless steel. • Separation of ultrafine particles and humidity from biogas/sewage gas • Fine purification of the gas, e.g., directly before gas engines • Low pressure loss • Removable filter inserts for easy cleaning

Biogas Storage

Non-Pressurized Gas Storage System

EnvironTec's TGZ non-pressurized gas holder consists of a prefabricated metal silo made of corrugated steel segments with lateral stiffeners attached to it and a conical roof. Inside it, a tight, high quality, UV-and-fungus-resistant membrane treated with flame retardant (DIN 4102 B1), is connected to the top and the bottom of the silo structure using AISI316Ti flanges, avoiding the membrane to be in contact with the silo walls. Additionally, a protective floor matt is laid on top of the concrete foundation in order to avoid damages on the membrane. The membrane will inflate and deflate as gas flow in and out respectively. Hydraulic pressure-security devices, a mechanical pressure-relief valve as well as an optical fill level indicator and vacuum monitoring ensures and full of continuous monitoring and control of the membrane.

Double Membrane Biogas Holder

Very usual technology in biogas applications, the double membrane gas holder consist of two three membranes forming a sphere cap with the ground. The outer membrane forms the actual protective construction and is always exposed to a positive pressure required for structural integrity. The processes inside the storage container can always be monitored through an inspection glass built into the outer membrane. The actual useable storage space is formed by the inner membrane. This membrane moves up or down depending on the fill level. In a gas storage container with a foundation plate the bottom membrane seals the storage space from the concrete foundation. The membranes are attached to the foundation by the anchor ring. Each storage container is individually load-calculated (internal pressure, wind and snow loads). .
