BioBG - Biogas Plant Gas Flare System

BioBG GmbH offers a comprehensive retrofitting package for biogas plants, focusing on environmentally friendly gas flare systems. These systems are crucial for safely burning excess biogas, especially when it cannot be utilized for energy generation due to maintenance or malfunctions in CHP units. The gas flare can be operated manually or automatically, with ignition achieved via a 12-volt battery or an automated PLC control system that independently manages all ignition, monitoring, and safety functions. Additionally, the system can be equipped with a gas compressor blower to enhance throughput rates at low gas pressures. These enhancements are in line with legal requirements such as KAS 28, particularly in regions like Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein. BioBG GmbH specializes in components for biogas plants, offering solutions that integrate seamlessly with the existing infrastructure.

BioBG - Ceramic Condensing Exhaust Gas Heat Exchanger for CHP Units

Conventional combined heat and power (CHP) units typically achieve a thermal efficiency of about 50%, but BioBG GmbH offers a solution to enhance this with their ceramic condensing exhaust gas heat exchangers. These exchangers leverages condensation technology to exploit the latent heat within exhaust gases, boosting thermal efficiency by up to 10%. The ceramic construction of these heat exchangers ensures durability and corrosion resistance, safely handling condensates that could otherwise produce corrosive substances like sulphurous and nitric acid, responsible for acid rain and damage to typical stainless steel exchangers. This design also minimizes pollutant release into the environment, improving sustainability outcomes. Designed for seamless integration, the ceramic heat exchanger is installed between the CHP’s exhaust pipe and existing heating systems, providing efficient energy usage and longevity.
