The Grabowski geothermal drill by Borobotics is an advanced, automated drilling system designed for shallow geothermal energy applications. Its compact design features a diameter of 135 mm and a length of 2.5 m, making it lightweight at less than 150 kg. This innovation requires only 6-8 m2 to operate, significantly reducing the footprint by 84% compared to conventional systems. Grabowski is equipped with fluid muscles for mobility and borehole stability, automatically detecting earth layers and water tables. Its unique gearbox, paired with dual engines for rotation and hammering, enables it to break through various rock types from sand to granite. Operating at less than 60 dbA, it is 94% quieter than traditional drills. Additionally, its environmental impact is minimized, emitting 288 kg of CO2 per borehole, which is 86% lower than industry standards. The drill is entirely electric, eliminating the need for diesel and making it gentle on the earth.
