Harness Testers: Expanded Low Voltage Systems

Permanently attaches to the bottom of the control modules or to another expansion module. Same bench footprint as the control module by itself (9x12"). Adds 128 test points (TPs) per expansion module. Perfect in applications where you do not require the additional board fixtures. Use our QuickMount™ fixtures if you need to interface with our connector board test interface fixtures. Add up to 19 expansion modules (+2,432 TPs) to your M3Z or M4 control module. Systems may be upgraded with expansion modules after purchase of the original system. Order at your convenience as your testing needs change.

Model HVX, HVX-21 - High Voltage (HiPot) Cable & Harness Testers

Containing both low voltage and high voltage subsystems, the automation-ready HVX permits expanded testing for insulation resistance, dielectric breakdown, and Zener diode breakdown voltage, and can be upgraded for 4-Wire measurement and/or Advanced Measurements. The Advanced Measurements option provides increased (x5) 2-wire resistance resolution, and the measurement of backplanes, complex networks, capacitors, wire pair capacitance, twisted pair testing, and cable length. After checking for opens, shorts, miswires, and resistance limits, the system applies a user-selectable voltage to each connection group in the cable - from 10 V to the maximum dc/ac voltage. Ramp Up, Ramp Down, Dwell Time (Test Time), Trip Current, and Trip Delay (Soak Time) are adjustable. Leakage Current detected during the high voltage test phase provides a measure of insulation quality. Insulation resistance up to 1 GΩ or 5 GΩ may be recorded.

CableEye® Low Voltage, Cable & Wire Harness, Continuity Test Systems

Model M2Z - Multiconductor Continuity Testing

This entry level tester provides basic continuity measurement in cables and small wire harnesses. It is suitable for cables carrying digital signals or any electronic signaling where small amounts of resistance in the cable or connections will not affect the function of equipment to which the cables are connected. The tester includes a 128-point fixture, a probe port, and electronics permitting it to test cables with a maximum of 64 conductors. The price includes a board set, probe, operating software, power module, USB cable, Getting Started Guide, Software Introduction Booklet, User`s Manual (PDF), and two-year Product Support Subscription. The included board set is the CB15C (Item 745C). You may substitute another board set of equivalent value if desired. Use the TEST button on the tester or click on the software screen to trigger a test. A READY indicator confirms a link to the PC software, and PASS, and FAIL indicators visually show the test result.

Model M3Z - Continuity and Resistance Test and Measurement

The M3Z differs from the M2U in that the M3Z a) employs a different electronic design, b) controls active test points through the software (eliminating the toggle switch seen in the M2U), c) is expandable to 2560 test points, d) allows resistance measurement to be made, so you can check the quality of your connections as well as the value of embedded resistors, and e) allows measurement of diodes, complex networks, and backplane applications.

Connector Boards

Model CB1 - Connector Board

Configuration: Has connectors for Centronics 50-pin male and female (Telco 25-pair and SCSI-I cables), DB15 male and female (network and video cables), two shielded RJ44/45 modular connectors (8-position, 8-conductor network and telephone cables), and two coax BNC connectors (network and video cables).
