Ovens - Industrial Ovens
Carbolite - General Purpose Industrial Oven
The GP general purpose 300°C industrial ovens are supplied in three sizes and two configurations: vertical (A) and horizontal (B) airflow. The industrial oven range also provides a foundation upon which a large variety of custom modifications can be added. Typical examples of which are the more sophisticated control systems and data recording that is required for applications such as AMS2750E heat treatment under Nadcap, or modifications to handle heavier loads or assist in loading and unloading the oven, or simply larger chamber sizes than are offered in the standard range.
Carbolite - High Temperature Industrial Oven
The HT high temperature ovens are manufactured in 4 standard chamber sizes with maximum operating temperatures of 400°C, 500°C and 600°C.Their robust construction incorporates heavy duty hinges, door catches and shelving systems. This range also provides a foundation upon which a wide range of custom modifications can be added. Typical examples of which are the more sophisticated control systems and data recording that is required for applications such as AMS 2750E heat treatment under Nadcap, or modifi cations to handle heavier loads or assist in loading and unloading the oven, or simply larger chamber sizes than are offered in the standard range.
Carbolite - Large General Purpose Industrial Oven
The LGP large general purpose ovens offer the greatest choice of options in size and maximum temperature. The range spans from 500 to more than 13,000 litres, with a temperature span from 250 °C to 700 °C.
Chamber Furnaces - Industrial Furnaces
Carbolite - General Purpose Industrial Chamber Furnaces
The GPC general purpose chamber furnaces are large floor-standing models. Available at 1200 °C and 1300 °C with capacities ranging from 131 to 400 litres.
Carbolite - Static or Bogie Chamber Furnace
The robust construction of the SBCF large chamber furnace makes it ideal for applications such as the heat treatment of steels and alloys, ceramics sintering and aerospace heat treatment. The SBCF chamber furnace is an industrial scale furnace based on a modular design principle which can be adapted to various applications. The furnace chamber is cubic in shape and is available in three sizes.
Carbolite - Industrial Chamber Furnace
The robust construction of LCF industrial chamber furnaces makes them ideal for applications such as the heat treatment of steels and alloy, ceramics sintering and aerospace heat treatment.
Chamber Furnaces - Annealing Furnaces
Carbolite - Annealing Furnace
The GLO annealing furnace features a vacuum tight retort with highly symmetric positioning of the heating elements. The heating elements are CrFeAl, also known as APM, and are embedded in the ceramic fibre insulation. The GLO is often equipped with a vacuum pumping system to reduce the Oxygen levels prior to heat treatment. To ensure the lowest possible contamination levels, several cycles of vacuum and Nitrogen purging occur to create a pure atmosphere in the retort. Vacuum assisted cycling is far superior compared to simply flowing Nitrogen through the retort as the process creates a pure atmosphere faster and requires less Nitrogen. After Oxygen levels have been reduced, heat treatment begins under an inert atmosphere with a slight overpressure.
Application Specific Furnaces - Coal & Coke Test Equipment
Carbolite Gero - Coal and Coke Pilot Plant Testing Systems
Detailed information is available in our dedicated Coal, Coke & Iron Ore Testing Furnaces brochure (please download above). Carbolite Gero has developed a range of coal and coke testing furnaces and ovens for proximate analysis to qualitatively assess or, quantitatively measure, the amount of moisture, ash, volatile matter and fixed carbon in coal samples. Other products are also available for the determination of coke reactivity, iron ore reducibility, ash fusibility, swelling number index, expansion and contraction of coal and caking properties.
Carbolite - Ash Fusibility Test Furnace
The CAF G5 is a furnace designed to test ash fusibility, and optionally, the increasingly popular determination of biomass or solid recovered fuels testing. The coal ash fusibility test furnace conforms to the Standards ISO 540:2008; ASTM D 1857 / D1857M – 04 (2010); DIN 51730:2007-09; DD CEN/TS 15370-1:2006 (biomass) and PD CEN/TR 15404:2010 (solid recovered fuels (SRF)). The CAF G5’s automatic and continuous recording of digital images allows laboratory technicians to carry out other tasks while the test is in progress, reviewing results later. The new CAF G5 greatly enhances the quality of the recorded images and test results increasing efficiency in laboratories. The maximum temperature of 1600 °C enables both biomass and coal testing. An optional work tube integrated lighting system is also available when testing low ‘initial deformation’ temperature of SRF or biomass samples.
Carbolite - Ash Fusibility Test Furnace
The CAF 16/38 is designed to test coal ash fusibility according to BS ISO 540:2008. The CAF 16/38 requires manual observation and recording of the transition points. In addition, a CAF furnace with automated digital image capture and archiving using Windows compatible software, the Coal Ash Fusibility Test Furnaces CAF G5, is available.
