Our renewable diesel is produced from sustainable low-carbon feedstocks, such as used cooking oil, inedible animal fats derived from processing meat fats and fuel-grade corn oil. Darling processes 10% of the world’s inedible meat by-products and is the largest collector and processor of used cooking oil in North America. Valero is America`s largest renewable fuels (ethanol and renewable diesel) producer.

In addition to this integrated supply chain, both Darling and Valero bring expertise to the operation of Diamond Green Diesel. Darling has extensive experience in pretreating the feedstocks for further processing, and Valero has extensive experience in converting the pretreated feedstock to renewable diesel and marketing transportation fuels to the marketplace.
