Solamet - Frontside Silver Pastes
Solamet® PV18x series frontside silver paste contains proprietary Tellurium technology, which is only licensed and available from DuPont. The Solamet® PV18x series, which is the newest advancement in the technology, delivers improved efficiency for solar cells over the PV17x series, which is the leading frontside metallization paste and current industry benchmark. Solamet® PV17x + LDE deliver a 0.6% efficiency improvement over previous technologies. Both PV17x and 18x series contain our proprietary Tellurium technology, which is only licensed and available from DuPont.
Photovoltaic Metallization Pastes
When Materials Matter™, you never stop improving them.DuPont continues to set the pace of innovation in the solar industry by continuously introducing leading performance PV metallization pastes (including PERC, n Type, IBC) that deliver ever-greater solar panel efficiency and power. We’ve introduced more than 130 new DuPont™ Solamet® products in just over 9 years. Each gain in efficiency reduces Balance of System (BoS) cost because less land is needed to generate the same power, installation and structure costs are lower, and operating and maintenance costs are reduced. In the past 12 years, Solamet® pastes have helped enable solar cell improvements that have yielded 30% higher cell efficiencies, which means you can generate the same power with half the panels (and panel space).
Photovoltaic Encapsulants
DuPont ionomer-based encapsulant sheeting for photovoltaics. DuPont ionomer sheets offer long-term durability and performance on a roll, for fast, photovoltaic (PV) encapsulation. DuPont PV ionomer encapsulants deliver long term protection for the most sensitive portions of PV modules. Choosing the right material not only increases module durability and production efficiency, but can also significantly enhance long term power generating efficiency. DuPont offers two ionomer-based sheeting products, DuPont™ PV 5400 Series and PV8600 Series. Both encapsulants are weather resistant and provide excellent strength, long-term durability, and dielectric properties to PV module manufacturers.
Silicon Inks
DuPont™ Innovalight™ Silicon inks enable superior Selective Emitter solar cells. DuPont™ Innovalight™ has developed a portfolio of patented technologies and materials that allow crystalline silicon cell manufacturers to produce solar cells with higher conversion efficiencies. DuPont™ Innovalight™ provides innovative silicon inks and licenses proprietary high-efficiency solar cell process technology to solar cell manufacturers which enables an immediate increase in solar cellconversion efficiency for customers. DuPont™ Innovalight™’s selective emitter platform is the latest low cost cell design enabled by DuPont™ Innovalight™ silicon ink that allows cell manufacturers to quickly break through the efficiency ceiling.

Solamet
DuPont Solamet - Photovoltaic Metallization Paste for Front Side/Single-Print Cells
Our front side paste is a highly conductive silver composition and delivers superior efficiency for P-type Solar Cells. It enables finer line design, excellent printability, and is able to be co-fired with back side (p-type) aluminum conductors and tabbing silver such as Solamet® PV5xx. It is designed for rapid dry and fast (spike) firing for P-type solar cells, LDE and PERC which provides further aspect ratio improvement and superior contact.
DuPont Solamet - Photovoltaic Metallization Pastes for Double-Print Solar Cells
Our Pastes for Double-Print Solar Cells are designed for highly advanced screen printing and a world-leading Solution for Double Printing - New Generation The Double-print process employs 2 of our top-performing DuPont™ Solamet® pastes: PVD1x & PVD2x Silver Paste. PVD1x for 1st layer: Super low contact resistance and excellent fine line printing. PVD2x for 2nd layer: Better electrical conductance, excellent fine line printing, plus good solderability for high adhesion on 4 and 5 busbar design.
DuPont Solamet - Passivated Emitter Rear Cells (PERC)
Improved Voc from minimized surface recombination without trade-off in fill factor (FF) at lower firing temperatures. Improved open circuit voltage (Voc) from minimized paste induced rear passivation damage. Better short circuit current (Jsc) from improved fine line capability. Good back surface field (BSF) formation on localized contact. Provides proven module reliability. Demonstrated strong adhesion to passivation layers. Minimized Kirkendall voids. Reliable module performance after climate chamber test. Non fire-through capability. High adhesion with low consumption. Co-fireable with Solamet® front side silver and back side aluminum. Very good local BSF formation with minimum voiding. High adhesion on passivation layer (SiO2/SiNx, Al2O3/SiNx stacks) with no dielectric damage. Fast drying and firing. Low electrical resistivity after firing. Cadmium free*.
DuPont Solamet - Photovoltaic Metallization Paste for N-Type Cells
Solamet® PV3N2 photovoltaic metallization is a high efficiency paste for N-Type wafers. It is designed for contacting a B-doped p-type emitter. It is capable of firing through dielectric passivation/ARC layer and contacting p-type boron-doped emitter giving low contact resistivity. PV3N2 is also co-fireable with silver conductors such as DuPont™ Solamet® PV17x, PV18x.
