Dynapower was founded in 1963 in Detroit, Michigan (USA) to service the automotive industries’ power conversion challenges. Over the next two-plus decades, Dynapower equipment has finished millions of car parts to keep America’s car fleet safe, reliable and sharp. In 1989, our owner, Peter Pollak, moved the company to Vermont to provide a better quality of life for his family and co-workers, and to chart a new path for the company that would see us move forward to solve some of the world’s greatest power conversion challenges.
Today, not only does Dynapower continue to provide power electronics for metal finishing in the automobile industry, but also architectural, aeronautical, medical, recreational, and consumer electronics industries. Our global footprint has expanded, charting the course for many new power conversion applications, such as helping to create clean drinking water, turning trash to energy, generating hydrogen to fuel zero-emission vehicles, recovering and recycling metals from discarded electronics, and sterilizing food. We have enabled utilities to turn off coal-fired plants, and island nations to uncouple from pollution-causing diesel generators and to safely and reliably harness renewable energies for wind and solar.
Daily, we work toward bettering the world through power conversion. We invite you to join us on our journey to discover possibilities for power conversion, and how it might have a positive impact on the lives of millions worldwide.
