Aquarius Management and Automation System
Emissions Reporting, Alarm Handling, Fuel Consumption Monitoring, Data Logging, Renewable Energy Management and more! The Aquarius Management and Automation System or Aquarius MAS is a cost effective fuel oil consumption monitoring, alarm handling and data logging platform suitable for a wide range of ships. The system uses class-approved components and can be fitted to new ships or easily retrofitted to existing ships. The Aquarius MAS can record performance data plus be configured to control equipment and automate processes to turn on/off equipment. In addition the amount of energy provided by marine solar and/or wind power systems can be monitored against fuel consumption to verify savings when ships are fitted with renewable energy systems. CO2, NOx & SOx emissions can also be calculated.
Marine Solar Power
An integrated marine solar power solution from EMP does more than just collect solar energy and is based around the flexible Aquarius MAS (Management and Automation System) This compact marine computer also monitors the performance of a solar power array & battery pack, logs data, switches equipment on/off plus can calculate vessel emissions and record fuel consumption. In addition the Aquarius MAS will monitor system performance and alarms. The Aquarius MAS can interface with other equipment on a ship or vessel and be used to monitor engines, generators, pumps and a range of other equipment. The Aquarius MAS H/W & S/W platform is based upon the reliable and robust KEI 3240 Data Logger which is already in use on hundreds of vessels including tug boats, training ships, tankers and bulk ore carriers. A basic Aquarius MAS package can also be expanded to include data logger functions and additional hardware later if required.
Energy Storage for Ships and Marine Batteries
FCR Series. Batteries and Battery Units
FCR batteries are a high quality and long life VRLA battery technology suitable for standby, emergency or cycle use. They are also suitable for applications in which charging and discharging are repeated frequently. On ships and marine platforms these batteries can be used for emergency or back-up power and charged from a range of charging systems including solar power. They can also be used for renewable energy applications. On ships typical applications for these batteries are for GMDSS and general emergency back-up,
FCP Series Battery Units - Class Approved
Furukawa Cycle Power (FCP) series battery units are available in various configurations ranging from 12VDC to 96VDC and are supplied complete with a modular design mounting rack for superior vibration resistance. The space saving design of the unit also reduces installation and maintenance time. FCP series batteries are ideally suited for renewable energy applications and their long life (approximately 15 years) and low maintenance requirements make them ideal for use on ships
