During the first ten years in existence, efforts were directed at generating a domestic customer base for the primary product offerings. Those being power quality and power efficiency equipment and service. During this period of consistent growth the company sales were predominately domestic, with sporadic forays into the international arena.

Growth Years

From 2001 to 2008, the corporation has directed the majority of its energy to growing market share for an international division of the company which has achieved steady growth. In fiscal year 2007 international sales achieved 40 percent of gross product sales and in 2017 they will be more than 75%.

Through the past almost three decades Energy Control Systems has evolved from a single product sales company to a multifaceted, multinational power quality solutions provider and product integrator.

Though the targeted niche market selected by ECS has evolved since 1987, we remain steadfastly focused on electrical power quality and, more recently, the efficient use of power by commerce and industry.

Technology Focus

By utilizing a variety of technologies and products and combining them with 30 years of engineering and application expertise, we can effectively reduce maintenance and improve up-time. Once the electrical/electronic maintenance costs are reduced the results are ever increasing overall profitability of our client.

Edwards, 60, is a Texas native and holds a BS in Business Administration from Texas Tech University, 1980. Prior to Energy Control Systems, Edwards founded a telephone interconnect company in Fort Worth. For years the company serviced and sold business telephone systems in the DFW area, acquiring over 200 customers in this short period of time before selling the business to concentrate his energies on the new venture, Energy Control
Systems.
