This is the fourth bi-annual World Renewable Energy Congress and Network Forum aimed at the international community as well as Mediterranean countries. The first forum was held in 2010 in France. The Forum will highlight the importance of growing renewable energy applications in two main sectors: Electricity Generation and the Sustainable Building Sector. The Mediterranean region was chosen to illustrate the viability of using renewable energy to satisfy all its energy needs.

The Conference will take place from 18 to 22 June 2012 at the Milano Convention Centre - MiCo in Italy. It will be the International Conference in 2012. The international science and technology Conference of the 20th EU BC&E comprises more than 800 presentations, in plenary, oral and visual sessions. The 20th EU BC&E attracts policy and industry decision makers through several parallel events addressing special topics which are currently in the focus of discussion. The subjects of the 20th EU BC&E result from the experiences of the previous successful EU BC&E conferences. The subjects have been further developed and structured and include the most recent scientific, technology and market trends. All biomass specialists are invited to contribute and to present innovative developments, progress and scientific results to the global biomass community and to submit their abstracts by 30 January 2012.
