FAAM, established in 1974, is an Italian manufacturer specializing in the production and recycling of lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries for various applications, including traction, industrial, storage, and military sectors. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Seri Industrial S.p.A., a firm listed on the Italian Stock Exchange that supports energy and ecological transition initiatives. FAAM operates the first mass-production facility for lithium battery cells, modules, and systems in Italy and Southern Europe. Their vertically integrated production process begins with active materials like lithium iron phosphate and utilizes a water-based method to create cells, culminating in complete battery systems equipped with their proprietary Battery Management System (BMS). ​
